Additionally to the column test for 5-ALA and PBG (order no. 17200), this column test is designed as a quick test for the detection of porphyrias (no HPLC method). In contrast to the differentiated porphyrin determination by HPLC (order no. 17000), the concentration of the urinary total porphyrins is here determined by a photospectrometer after elution of from a sample preparation column. The column test features in quick performance, easy handling and a low price per analysis.
